Libby Outposts offers a unique experience in the Eastern U.S. using sister business’ , Libby Camps, Cessna 185 to grant access to many of the 7 outpost cabins. The native landlocked salmon and brook trout fishing is legendary whether you spin fish or take advantage of the numerous fly-fishing waters. There is nothing like being located right on the “fish hole” wading, casting off the dock or canoeing/boating the perimeter of the pond. Many folks also hire a guide to help them find special hidden treasures.

Located within the vast 3.5 million-acre North Maine Woods, Libby’s is home to one of the largest Ruffed Grouse populations in the country. Hunters can enjoy prime game along old tote roads, in overgrown clear cuts, and through alder swamps. The consistent Woodcock migration during the season creates thrilling hunting opportunities for skilled sportsmen.

The active forest management in the North Maine Woods has resulted in thriving big game populations. Black Bear and Moose numbers have soared in recent years, with Libby’s known for producing some of the largest trophy animals in the region. While Whitetail deer numbers are lower compared to other parts of the East, this has led to larger, trophy-sized bucks. Hunters here can find Whitetails over 200 pounds with impressive 150-class racks.
